Description

MTConnect standard is known for its semantic vocabulary specially designed for the machine tool industry, while OPC UA allows semantic communication between industrial devices. Both of them when combined result in a complete industrial interoperability standard. The MTConnect server provides semantic definitions in a structured XML format in contrast to the commonly seen proprietary formats, which means uniform data that is accessible by vast applications in the industry. We are experts in both the MTConnect and OPC UA standard.

Why is MTConnect Client OPC Server required for Industries?

MTConnect is an open and royalty-free communication standard that enables the data from CNC machines and other machine tools to be made available to other software applications. It truly democratizes communication in the machine tool industry by the simplicity of the semantic (vocabulary) and physical (Ethernet/HTTP) connectivity. OPC UA interface on top of the MTConnect OPC Serverlayer, further makes that machine tool data available to even a wider variety of client applications like HMI, SCADA, ERP, Analytics applications, IIoT platforms, etc.
